Refund approval pack
Assembles a policy-checked refund or credit recommendation — eligibility against written policy, account context, precedent cases, and financial impact — then halts for human approval before anything moves. Use when the user mentions a refund request, credit request, billing dispute, or make-good, or a support ticket contains a refund ask.
When to run
- A refund/credit request arrives in a ticket or is raised by an agent
- "Should we refund Acme for the outage" / billing dispute review
Computer scopes
- Billing: invoices, payments, subscription terms for the account
- Docs: the written refund/credit policy (the source of truth for eligibility)
- Support: the triggering ticket and the account's request history
- Precedents: prior approved/denied refund decisions
Workflow
- Identify the request: amount, period, stated reason, contract terms in force.
- Run the eligibility check against the written policy clause by clause; cite each clause pass/fail. If the policy is silent, say the policy is silent — do not improvise doctrine.
- Pull precedents: nearest prior decisions with outcomes, so like cases get like treatment.
- Assemble context that bears on judgment: account health, lifetime value, prior make-goods, whether the root cause was ours (link incident records if so).
- Compute the options: full refund, prorated credit, goodwill credit — each with financial impact and policy basis.
- Package the recommendation with a stated rationale and stop. Route to the approver of record by amount tier. On decision, log outcome to the precedent corpus.
Guardrails
- Autonomy: L3-gated. This skill never executes a refund, ever. It prepares; a human approves; execution happens in the billing system by the human or a separately authorized flow.
- Recommendation includes the strongest argument against itself when precedents conflict.
- Every pack is written as if the customer might read it — because someday one will.
Output
Approval pack: request summary → clause-by-clause policy check → precedents → account context → options with impact → recommendation + rationale → approval routing block.Eval fixtures
- Set: 40 refund scenarios against a sandbox policy, including 8 policy-silent cases and 6 conflicting-precedent cases.
- Rubric: clause-check correctness; policy-silent cases flagged as such (never improvised); option math exact; recommendation consistency with like precedents.
- Ship gate: clause-check accuracy 100%; improvised-doctrine rate 0.

Escalation brief
Generates the complete engineering escalation pack for a support ticket — reproduction steps, environment details, timeline, prior contacts, account impact, and related incidents — from Computer history. Use when a ticket needs engineering escalation, when the user mentions escalating, filing a bug from a ticket, or an engineer asks for context on an escalated issue.
Customer Support & CX · L1
KB gap miner
Mines resolved support tickets for recurring questions that have no knowledge-base coverage, ranks the gaps by deflection value, and drafts the missing articles from actual resolutions. Use when the user mentions knowledge base gaps, deflection, self-service improvement, "we keep answering the same question," or content planning for the help center.

Root-cause clusterer
Collapses a spike or backlog of support tickets into probable root-cause clusters, linking related incidents, known bugs, and recent releases from Computer. Use when ticket volume spikes, when the user asks "what's driving all these tickets," mentions a backlog surge, or during incident review.
Customer Support & CX · L2
Ticket triage router
Classifies incoming support tickets by type and severity, sets priority, and routes to the right queue or owner — attaching a stated reason code and cited precedent for every decision. Use when the user mentions ticket triage, routing, queue management, "tickets are piling up," or wants incoming support volume handled automatically.
